Ikatan Ahli Planning Indonesia Indonesia has been doing research Most Liveable City Index, to determine the comfort level of perception of life in the city conducted in 12 major cities in Indonesia.

Based on a survey conducted of residents in each city is known that the average value (mean) index was 54.17, with the highest comfort level of perception in the city of Yogyakarta, namely 65.34 and perceptions of citizen convenience are the lowest in Pontianak index of 43.65.
City - a city with an index above the average are: Yogyakarta, Manado, Makassar and Bandung. While the city - a city with an index below the average is Jayapura, Surabaya, Banjarmasin, Semarang, Medan, Palangkaraya, Jakarta, Pontianak. Here is the index of perception of comfort for each city:

Based on a survey of public perceptions that have been made known to some quite interesting findings, including:
1. Criteria Arrangement City
Criteria for Restructuring the City, City of Palangkaraya has the highest percentage rates are perceived by its citizens have a good city arrangement, which is as much as 51%. Kota Palangkaraya though still far from ideal size, but has a condition setting a pretty good town. The opposite occurs with the city of Bandung. Cities with the lowest perceptual aspects of urban planning for the city of Bandung is only 3%. This means that only 3% of the respondents of the Bandung is considered a good arrangement of Bandung city, the remaining 97% consider aspects Bandung bad arrangement.
